Recycling

No matter where you are, you can take these steps to help the environment:

Separate waste and sort it according to its type, i.e. into organic waste, glass, plastics, paper or cardboard and you can add metals, textiles and toxics.

Store each waste in special containers, which you can make yourself for home use or find in most places in different sectors of the communities.

If necessary, contact a company specialised in waste transport, especially if toxic waste is involved. They will know how to handle and dispose of it correctly.

The EcoCampus programme focuses on waste management and environmental stewardship as central elements. We recognise the social responsibility that our waste imposes on the environment, and this premise will guide the development of the entire BIS community. Proper waste separation will be promoted inclusively and integrated into the curriculum to ensure that the project fulfils its social, educational and sustainability function. We are committed to instilling this practice in all students and the wider community.

GecoRaee

GecoRaee offers support in the management of hazardous and electronic waste, focusing on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The recycling of WEEE is essential due to its high contamination by heavy metals and its impact on water, air and human health. GecoRaee is dedicated to addressing this crucial issue.
